Just because it might appear bare doesn’t mean that it lacks power.
When some elements of an image are removed, they can evoke mystery and add to the sense of loss or secretness. Traces of disappearing elements help to drive the larger meaning behind a work. The repetitiveness helps to create the rhyme and turns a picture into a visual poem. The abstract drawing will double as a map. This series of double spreads is a work in progress.
